Fantastic CPU Value!

Strengths: Great performance vs value tradeoff; bundled CPU/heatsink; 3-year warranty

Weakness: None!

We just built a HTPC, so this was the perfect candidate. Low power Core2Duo with included heatsink and fan, and all under a hundred bucks! Installation was a snap, and the eVGA motherboard recognized it. Got into BIOS, and poked around to be sure it was recognized properly, including the two cores. I have not overclocked it, as I don't need the potential headache. Besides, it works great at the...

Not 1 promblem

Strengths: Powerful and fast

Weakness: none

The speed of these new core 2 duos are EXCELLENT! I wish i would have upgraded quicker. The price was good and for the speed you can't beat it. You could probably save $10 by buying the OEM out of box unit but nothing to complain about here!

This is the sweet spot for C2D cpu's

Strengths: price - overclocking capability

Weakness: none

I bought this to set up a 'browser PC' in the spare room. Paid less than 100. Overclocked 20% without any issues, I'm sure I could get much more, but it's running as fast as I need right now, so why chance it? It worked out so well, I purchased 2 more and upgraded the kid's machines for a reasonable price.

Intel E4500 The little CPU that could

Strengths: Easy 3.0 Overclock

Weakness: E4600 will be out in a month at the same price

I bought this in a bundle with a cheap motherboard from a well known chain store whose name rhymes with "lies" Sold the mother board to effectively get the cost down to $115 after the Pricegrabber rebate. Now that's a steal! This little hot rod paired with a sub $100 P35 Abit motherboard hits 3.0 ghz without raising any voltages. Others are getting 3.3 with voltage tweaks. Buy it!
