Great mainboard for the price !!!

Strengths: * Great over clocking ability. * Lots of heat sinks / pipes around northbridge. * Lots of SATA connections and RAID configurations. * On board WiFi and audio.

Weakness: * IDE is not in the best location. * Trouble with the locations of SATA connections and graphics card. * The forums are filled with tales of corrupt BIOS. Always use the EZ BIOS.

This is my configuration: * Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz overclocked to 3.6GHz * OCZ 2GB DDR800 Memory overclocked to 1066MHz * Shaphire ATI Pro HD 2900Pro overclocked to 2900XT * 4x500GB Western Digital SATA HDD * Scythe Infinity Dual Fan @1900prm * Windows XP SP2 So far everything is just great. I can proudly say that this is the best system I have ever built. I had some minor problems with the BIOS at...

Review of ASUS P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP

Strengths: Great cooling system, lots of USB connections, eSATA connections, easy to upgrade BIOS.

Weakness: Had to upgrade BIOS to get rid of "Intel CPU uCode loading error"

p5k deluxe : best motherboard i've ever owned

Strengths: Great layout P35 Latest Intel Chipset Supports Quad core and the future 45nm CPUs Overclocking It's an asus!

Weakness: Runs a bit hot.

This is simply put the best motherboard I've ever worked with and owned. It has so many overclocking features and is rock solid. Running my quad core right now 24/7 folding at 3.4ghz stock voltage. The heatpipe system and heatsinks get quite hot but it seems to be running just fine. I have 4 gigs of ram and it is great! I couldn't be happier. If you are deciding this over the gigabyte, get this...

9-way Intel P35 motherboard round-up

Anyone looking at building a new desktop system should not look any further than Intel Core 2 processors, and when time comes to pick a platform you should have Intel's own P35 chipset in mind as it officially offers 1333MHz FSB support and will be compatible with upcoming 45nm processors. This translates in a fairly 'future-proof' platform, with some models currently available supporting DDR3...
